Last week we finished lesson 7.2 What Is the Rock Cycle? We did the experiment on page 288, 289 and the students were very interested and excited. This week we will be learning how to identify the main idea and details (workbook page 132, 133). We will then be starting lesson 7.3 How Do Weathering and Erosion Affect Rocks?

After finishing Order of Operations and Exploring Negative Numbers, we started studying graphs.
We took lessons:
8.4 Use Coordinate Grid
8.5 Line Graphs
8.6 Make Line Graphs
This week we will be taking lesson 8.9 Graph Relationships, then we will be moving on to chapter 9.
We will take lesson 9.1 Multiplication Patterns and lesson 9.4 Record 2-Digit by 1-Digit Multiplication.
The math project for this trimester will be to create a line graph for next week’s weather forecast.
